This chicken lives in our house at This Is the Place. It used to lay an egg every day. Now it just sits on the fake eggs and protects them. I think she's afraid we are going to eat them.
My but she is a talker! LOL! I hatched out a couple roosters as a child in a homemade incubator and they lived inside mostly in my room until they learned to crow and woke up my dad! LOL! Then they were banished outside were they still got a lot of love.
What a dedicated little chicken, though! And she's being so thoughtful, trying to leave her eggs right in the pantry for you all! (I've read that you can sometimes shock a hen out of being broody by putting her lower half in cold water...) :)
