Red Dress

This was the very first girls' Pioneer dress I ever made. I used a Kwik Sew pattern/instruction book that was from the DI that was given to me as a joke when I quit work to have a baby. I've used that pattern and book more than anything else! I've learned so much. Thank goodness for gag gifts!

The skirt does not have a placket so that makes the dress a little more difficult to get into. It also does not have an interior waistband like Elizabeth Stewart Clark's dresses, so it's not as nice on the inside, but it will still do the job.

I did widen the neckline and used metal buttons. I love metal buttons.
